About FREEdom from MEdom Project

FREEdom from MEdom Project is not just another pretentious ‘Christianity versus pop psychology’ narrative on how to cure the pervasive lifestyle of addiction rife with dysfunction. The intention is to reveal the truth about how trusting in feelings betrays what we know and understand to be most reasonable.

FREEdom from MEdom Project is an in-depth study and discussion of the transformative life-changing process; anticipating the hope that grows from within. Transformation begins resurrection from loss into better living by way of redemption through divine healing, and restoration tethered to the assurance of sincere hope rooted in the evidence of faith experiences that make it real.

FREEdom from MEdom Project exists to help hurting people to find healing and redemption through recovery God’s way into the best of a new life experience. It delves deep into the process of how we think and behave while reacting to failed expectations. It confronts the problem of entitlement. Jesus traced my preoccupation with me to a certain selfishness on my part, declaring that I am a slave to sin (John 8:34)—addicted to selfishness. Apostle Paul wrote that there is a power within me at war with my mind (Romans 7:23). You see, it really is all about me. That’s a problem.

“I have gone through the FREEdom from MEdom Project then concluded that it is divine; my heart is deeply touched. I have been touched by your vision for delivering addicted people. May this vision that is still in the womb be quickened to maturity. May God expand your vision mightily all over the world. I’m moved to pray for this ministry because it is a unique one… I know that this wave shall cause a great revival in our land.” —Leonard Walubengo, Pastor, Nairobi, Kenya

FREEdom from MEdom Project is a trustworthy resource striving to bridge the divide between evidenced-based therapeutic approaches and biblical truth about recovery. You will learn to discern the differences between guilt and shame; to untangle twisted thoughts and beliefs distorted early on in life; burdens carried from childhood through adolescence into adulthood, having a profound impact through the years on critical lifestyle choices. You’ll acquire tools to cope and respond better to adversity, confronting present challenges, empowered to move ahead, as wounds are healed and quality of life is restored.

FREEdom from MEdom Project is all about helping you to believe fully in the One whose love for you is unyielding and relentless, calling you into repentance, bathed in mercy, renewing your mind with a willing spirit, and restoring you into the rest, peace, and joy of best right living. Seriously the compassion and generosity of your deliverer, healer, provider, advocate… your Savior and friend.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” Luke 4:18-19 (NLT)

What mounts leverage against your deepest sensibilities? What powers are you enslaved to? What has sunk its teeth so deep into your soul that it is starving your spirit? What owns you? What does that mean for how you live and how you cope? Where is your hope? Look up and see that God is good and will not disappoint you. See yourself through the lens that by which God sees you and then expect God’s generous favor for you. Soak yourself in it.

My name is Steven Gledhill. FREEdom from MEdom Project is my journey into what I believe to be authentic recovery. Preoccupation with self is the essence of my broken (fallen) condition… my addiction to sin… obsession with dissatisfaction. It is time to call this for what it really is so that the change process into new life can be realized—experienced—in relationship with Christ. Please join me on this wonderful journey into the very best of what God has and wants for us. He wants it for us more than we do.

“Lord Jesus, I say that I believe in You. I say that I believe in what You can do. But, then I wrestle emotionally with faith, clouded with doubt about what You will do. Why do I struggle with what I believe? Why won’t I trust in what I know? Help me to be more confident in what I know. Help me to see what you see and to know some of what you know. Help me to let go and trust in what I say I believe in. Embolden me to trust You; that your goodness is sufficient. Help me to believe that without reservation you love me.”

I cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:24 (NLT)

THE VISION of FREEdom from MEdom Project is to reach out to all who need to be in recovery, having been crippled by their “drugs” of self-centered thinking and behavior.

A pastor-friend of mine in recovery told me that he believes the key to one last revival in the world is recovery from all that keeps us from experiencing freedom in relationship with God. God desires to be in fellowship with us but we keep Him at a distance so long as we are obsessed with all that dissatisfies.

“Without the guidance this program gave me, who knows where I would be today. Today, I am happily living out my life… and recommend this program to anyone who is addicted… This program laid a foundation that I neglected to build growing up. It gave me real direction and the resources to make clean decisions. My life is in no way perfect. Life still has its problems, but I now can rationally work my way through them.” —Edward Stermin, Recovering FREEdom from MEdom Client

We want to help all who will journey on the road to freedom.

God says, “Rebuild the road! Clear away the rocks and stones so my people can return from captivity.” Isaiah 57:14 (NLT)
