I will boast only about my weaknesses. <\/span><sup id=\"en-NLT-28988\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> If I wanted to boast, I would be no fool in doing so, because I would be telling the truth. But I won\u2019t do it, because I don\u2019t want anyone to give me credit beyond what they can see in my life or hear in my message, <\/span><sup id=\"en-NLT-28989\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><sup id=\"en-NLT-28990\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. <\/span><sup id=\"en-NLT-28991\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Each time he said, <span>\u201cMy grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.\u201d<\/span> So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. <\/span><sup id=\"en-NLT-28992\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10<\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> That\u2019s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ.
