Pilgrimage of Faith-Driven Recovery<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Psalm 84 is all about having a heart set on the pilgrimage on the journey with Jesus, discovering rich revelation of truth all along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 84<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

1<\/sup> How lovely is your dwelling place, <\/span>LORD Almighty! <\/span><\/strong>
\n 2<\/sup> My soul yearns, even faints, <\/span>for the courts of the LORD; <\/span><\/strong>
\n my heart and my flesh cry out <\/span>for the living God. <\/span><\/strong>
\n 3<\/sup> Even the sparrow has found a home, <\/span>and the swallow a nest for herself, <\/span><\/strong>
\n where she may have her young\u2014<\/span>a place near your altar, <\/span><\/strong>
\n LORD Almighty, my King and my God. <\/span><\/strong>
\n 4<\/sup> Blessed are those who dwell in your house; <\/span>they are ever praising you.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

5<\/sup> Blessed are those whose strength is in you, <\/span>whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. <\/span><\/strong>
\n 6<\/sup> As they pass through the Valley of Baka (means ‘weeping’ or ‘tears’), <\/span><\/strong>
\n they make it a place of springs; <\/span>the autumn rains also cover it with pools. <\/span><\/strong>
\n 7<\/sup> They go from strength to strength, <\/span>till each appears before God in Zion.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

8<\/sup> Hear my prayer, LORD God Almighty; <\/span>listen to me, God of Jacob. <\/span><\/strong>
\n 9<\/sup> Look on our shield,\u00a0O God; <\/span>look with favor on your anointed one.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

10<\/sup> Better is one day in your courts <\/span>than a thousand elsewhere; <\/span><\/strong>
\n I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God <\/span><\/strong>
\n than dwell in the tents of the wicked. <\/span><\/strong>
\n 11<\/sup> For the LORD God is a sun and shield; <\/span>the LORD bestows favor and honor; <\/span><\/strong>
\n no good thing does he withhold <\/span><\/em>from those whose walk is blameless<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

12<\/sup> LORD Almighty, <\/span>blessed is the one who trusts in you.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This Psalm was written by someone other than David. When the Psalmist wrote this he did not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in his body like we do in relationship with the Risen Savior. It’s important to consider this context while responding to the following questions.<\/span><\/p>\n
